Purpose of the course:

The purpose of the workshop is to train pastors and other leaders to offer the Bible and its Message. This is done through an eight module course comprising of 14 lectures that unpacks Bible schools in local churches. It provides an introduction to Biblical hermeneutics, with four Old Testament and three New Testament modules.

Minimum Admission Requirements:

Pastors, trainers and other leaders, including those who have not matriculated, or who have matriculated but do not hold a degree or an advanced diploma in theology, and who plan to implement this course in their own congregations or communities.

Structure and duration of course:

The course is presented over a period of six months, with two contact weeks of four and a half days each. Students will have to complete two assignments during this period. Evaluation will be done during the contact weeks.

Module 2: Pre-Exile Literature I

Module 3: Pauline literature

Module 4: Pre-Exilic Literature II

Module 5: Gospels and Acts

Module 6: Exilic Literature

Module 7: The Gospel of John & the Book Revelation

Module 8: Post-Exilic Literature
