Purpose of the course:
To provide a basic introduction to reading the Old and New Testament theologically and in the contexts in which we serve.
Minimum Admission Requirements:
Pastors and lay ministers with no prior theological education but with an existing context of ministry.
Structure and duration of the course:
Two modules, with 3 days of interactive learning each.

COURSE CONTENT

Module 1: Basic study methods and basic terminology in Biblical studies.

Module 2: The first five books of the Old Testament.

Module 3: The history, poetry and wisdom literature of the Old Testament.

Module 4: The prophets of the Old Testament.

Module 5: The Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles.

Module 6: The letters of Paul and other letters of the New Testament.

Module 7: The Book of Revelation.

Module 8: The Old and New Testament in our context today.
